Creating and spinning a wheel
How many choices can I add?
Add between 2 and 20 non-empty choices. Each label can be up to 40 characters. Duplicate choices are allowed and create separate slices.
How do I spin?
Tap Make the wheel, hand over the iPhone, then tap the wheel or the Spin button. You can also drag the wheel clockwise and throw it. A gentle release can coast without choosing; a committed spin always lands on one choice.
Can I spin the same wheel again?
After a result, Spin4 returns the used wheel to your shelf. Open it there to tweak the choices and spin again. The previous winner is not stored.
Saved wheels
What gets saved?
A wheel is saved locally only when it is first spun. Leaving an unspun setup does not save it. Spin4 keeps up to 50 wheels, newest first, and quietly drops the oldest when the shelf is full.
Can I rename, copy, or delete one?
On the wheel shelf, swipe a wheel card to rename or delete it. Swipe from the other side to make a copy.
Can I restore wheels after deleting the app or changing phones?
Spin4 has no account or cloud sync. There is no in-app restore for wheel history. Apple device backups may preserve app data when you restore a device, depending on your Apple settings, but Spin4 cannot guarantee or manage that process.
Purchases and subscriptions
What does the Lifetime Unlock include?
Your first successfully completed spin is free. A second spin attempt offers the one-time Lifetime Unlock, which enables unlimited spins on every family wheel. It is a non-consumable Apple In-App Purchase, not a subscription, and it does not renew. Apple displays the applicable local price before confirmation.
How do I restore access?
Choose Restore Purchases in the grown-up purchase area while signed into the Apple Account that bought the unlock. Restoring does not create a new charge. Apple handles billing and refunds; email support if a successful restore does not unlock spinning.
Privacy
Are my choices uploaded?
No. Wheel choices, names, and history stay on your iPhone. Spin4 has no account, advertising, or general analytics. RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase information and Sentry receives privacy-minimized crash/error diagnostics; neither receives family-entered wheel content. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual wheels from the shelf or use For grown-ups → Support & data → Delete all wheel history. Deleting Spin4 removes its local app data from that device, subject to Apple’s device and backup behavior.
Troubleshooting
I cannot make the wheel.
Check that you have at least two non-empty choices. If a row is blank, finish editing it or remove it. The add control becomes unavailable at 20 choices.
I cannot hear the ticks.
Spin4’s sounds respect the iPhone silent switch. Check the switch and volume. Haptics require supported physical hardware and do not play in the iOS Simulator.
I prefer less movement.
Turn on Reduce Motion in iPhone Settings under Accessibility → Motion. Spin4 uses gentler transitions and skips confetti while keeping the choice clear.
